TWO ROADS AND ONE CHOICE

Fork in the road

We are all standing in a season where there is one choice, and two roads.

It may seem as though, there are many roads to travel; to traverse, but the truth of the matter is that at the basest of levels, there are two roads - - one that is easy, and one that is hard.

The Easy Road

The easy road is full of self, an 'I can do it' attitude; focused on getting where you think is best. In this season, it is likened to going on a road that makes you the most comfortable in being where you have been; and trying to keep that in place, as a normal for you, no matter what. The easy road also has many people on it, many paths have been dug there; and there is much assistance in getting to the place that you 'want' to be.

The Hard Road

The hard road, however; is focused on the whole, that all of us can do this when we pool and put together our assets (brainstorming, plans, materials, tools, strategies, etc.) to accomplish something that is greater than our own selves.

This road however, is difficult. There are not many who traversed this road, meaning you will have to trust in something else that is not always tangibly seen to go to the place that you are envisioning. All that you see, though, is that keeping what 'has been' in place is not an option for you - - a new thing has to come into being; despite the many on the easy road that curse you in addition to the various challenges of the hard road.

One Choice

In this season, many are tempted to take the easy road because the challenges are steep. However; the payoff, is vast to those who choose to go through a narrow road. Yes, this has been stated many times before hand; why must this word be released yet again?

Simple. The season calls for a siren to sound: to increase in another measure, you must walk through another road.

A road that is not comfortable, a road that goes against your understanding, that is greater than what is in front of you, a road that challenges you and purifies your beliefs, motivations and heart to make sure you can stand in the days to come.

The Easy road, starts off nice and smooth, simple and effortless to walk on at times. It seems like everything is figured out and that you won't have to do much since there is so much 'gold' around. However; this is the main tactic of the easy road - to get you to trust in something other than Him, in something that will not lead you to the place that only Yahweh can lead.

Lush and green MIsty mountains

The Hard road, starts off just as that; very rough, hilly - - full of danger and risk. However, it is just like an explorer in an unknown territory: the explorer first comes upon bush, trees, insects that looks like large animals, hunger, thirst, and sometimes a wonder why you began the journey to start off with. But, you find yourself in a wide plain; beautiful waterfalls that have never been discovered before you find, new animals exquisite and rare are before you, the scent of flowers never seen before surround your atmosphere as new sounds of the new species of creatures found by you play a new welcoming symphony. All signs, that you are going to something pure, something exotic, something rare, something so beautiful that the entire journey was worth it - - just to set your eyes on something Yahweh has made for you and your brothers and sisters.

Making the choice to go in a direction that is littered with danger, risk and complications when Yahweh is leading you to make that choice; is a strong sign that He will be with you the entire ride, and that He has something up His sleeve so to say.

No matter the danger, the difficulty, the risk; if Yahweh has confirmed with His word it is the direction you are to take, choose to trust Him, and take the Hard road.

Discovery in Him awaits you.
